The survey will contain a complete analysis of our findings with proposals, plus a complete laboratory report of materials tested and an asbestos register of the property.
Nowadays, asbestos surveys are becoming more routine for homebuyers, leaseholders and freeholders planning to buy, sell or occupy a Sussex premises, with lawyers insisting both parties get an asbestos survey carried out during the early stages prior to exchange and completion.
Whether you require a one-off asbestos survey for a single property, or have multiple buildings requiring thorough inspection, we are more than happy to help. With fully kitted out crew ready to go right across the whole of Sussex, our surveyors can be with you quickly to inspect your premises.
If you’ve already had an asbestos survey conducted, you should have crucial information available such as a Material Hazard Assessment, which provides a clear demonstration of how probable an asbestos containing material (ACM) is to releasing airborne fibres.
It is then up to the duty holder to determine the specific danger that each asbestos containing material (ACM) poses based on the level of occupation in the area where it was found, and then to present an Asbestos Management Plan.
As part of the proceeding management of asbestos containing materials (ACMs), constant monitoring post asbestos survey is required at regular intervals. Any ACM identified or probable ACM will need to be inspected periodically to check that it has not worsened or sustained damaged. As a minimum, ACMs should be inspected every six to twelve months.
Asbestos testing must form part of every asbestos inspection survey, no matter what kind of premises is concerned.
All dubious materials should be sampled by a fully licensed asbestos surveyor, and then carefully removed to be taken away for analysis using microscopy techniques at a UKAS accredited laboratory.
Under normal circumstances, asbestos test results are generally ready for oversight within 48 hours with a certificate of analysis detailing the types of asbestos present within the sample material tested.
